A Training Camp for Righteousness

When Saul became king, the Prophet Samuel was told by God to describe to the Israelites how the king they wanted would try to take too much power to himself.  Despite Samuel’s warning, the people still wanted a king, but Samuel established a college to train young men in the ways of the Lord and be a counter-balance to executive power.
After Saul was long gone, we read about the group being active as a prayer and pressure group in the time of king Ahab and his queen Jezebel.  It was called ‘the Sons of the Prophets’, but that does not mean their fathers were going about making personal predictions over people’s lives.  Instead they were being trained to stand up for righteousness in a spiritual war.

Look out for training camp days and weekends that we plan to hold for the Soldiers of Christ.
